New items in my booth for the sale this weekend at Merchant Square

I added a lot of things to my booth yesterday in order to get ready for the 3-day sale this weekend.  Here are some of my favorites.  You can see an album of 26 pictures I took on my Judy B's Shabby Chic Facebook page.
This turquoise silk dress is just beautiful.  Never worn and still has the original tags by Maggy London.  A nice retro style chemise.  To the right of it are two more lovely formals.  Time for prom yet?
Four great vintage lamp shades.  They are shabby and the fabric is fragile.  But these would be great to strip and them create your own shades with old lace pieces, burlap, whatever!
This beautiful light pink sweater is so soft!  It's lambswool and angora decorated with pearls and sequins.  Never worn and has original tags from Bonwit Teller.
Lovely old plates decorated with roses and very inexpensive!  Love the tiny chintz teapot!  The ruby glass sugar and creamer set are perfect for Valentine's Day or Christmas!
Love the items on top of the white china cabinet.  Really nice swing frame from the 1920's -- deco style!
For my artsy friends, a huge bowl full of vintage buttons, flower picks, rustic clothespins and corks.  Check out the pile of old keys for necklaces or mixed media projects.

Great sale at Merchant Square this weekend!!  Plus a huge flea market in the parking lot.  All spaces are sold out.  See you there!!!

Merchant Square sale Oct. 1-3

I was in my booth (C-6) at Merchant's on Monday.  I put in new items, rearranged things to give it a fresh look, vacuumed it out and then took pictures.  Here are just a couple of the pics I want to share with you.
New shabby white dresser
That pretty pink dresser sold last week.  Knew it would go quickly.

Items on top of the white dresser

Pretty clothes
Found these at an estate sale.  The top is a pretty peasant blouse style in pink with blue that matches the skirt.  The blue full skirt feels very silky and needs that plum colored petticoat to make it stand out!  The dark blue item is a pair of ruffled pettipants to be worn under the full skirts.

Vintage shabby items
The shabby shutters are there, lots of vintage frames, old paint brushes, Cinderella home window, and more industrial chic items like door face plates, hinges, and drawer pull face plates.

This is just a sampling of the items in my booth that will be for sale all week as well as at the upcoming mall sale.  I will be taking in a few more items before the sale begins.  Please check my shop Facebook page, Judy B's Shabby Chic for the September 27 picture album of the things I put in on Monday.

Little Red Dress and FOUND

I bought this little vintage red dress from my BFF friend, Gail.  I love it!  It is hand made and the embroidery on the sleeves and ruffles is hand done.  I made the little pin you see on the dress.
Here is the little pin.  Apologies for the blurred pic.  I had my small camera with me and couldn't get a good shot of it.
But you can see the little old quilt heart is handstitched on and that there are three tiny french knots in the bottom right corner.  I had fun making this little "Adore" pin and putting it on the dress with safety pins -- it is not permanently attached to the dress.  It is for sale in Merchant Square.

FOUND is a new venture for Dan and Kristen of Domestic Bliss in downtown Mesa.  Be sure to check out the links I provided for both.  My BFF Kim and I went to their grand opening on Thursday evening.  Here are a few highlights of what awaited us.
Love this display!
Old clocks, pretty flowers, and "Found" on a vintage flash card.
Absolutely love this huge picture of the lady in white!!  Comfy tufted chairs and the old folding doors with mirrors where glass used to be.  And check out that great chest full of drawers!  Yummy!!
This picture and display is for you, Gail!!  Check out the old cameras!  And those neat flower frogs!  My mother had several of those because she loved camilias and these frogs held them best in a bouquet.  Also love the "You Are My Sunshine" sign!!
Friends at FOUND -- Kim, me and Trisha.   I so want to get rid of some of my furniture and replace it with what I saw in FOUND.  But the budget doesn't allow it!

Flea market finds yesterday

Merchant Square holds 3 day sales at the antique mall approximately every two months. This weekend is the kickoff sale for the fall and winter season. On Saturday mornings during the sale they have a parking lot flea market which is wonderful! Great finds and bargains are to be found!

Yesterday I went early (6:30 a.m.) to catch the best stuff at the flea market. Here is what I found yesterday. All of this will be priced and put in my booth by next week. This picture shows most of my finds. There were a few others, but they have been torn apart to use in art projects. I love the little lampshade. It is silk! Something you don't find today unless you are willing to pay big bucks. The little pink purse is too cute! There is also a white beaded purse, black gloves, bag of red beads, a romantic powder box, tiny bride and groom for a wedding cake, a lace hat, pink perfume bottle, small cream pitcher, shabby chic dresser mirror and that lovely antique oval swing frame. Also found yesterday were these petticoats. Actually they are square dance petticoats, but I remember these from the 50's. They will be in my booth one at a time. I just love them! So swishy and pretty!Beautiful white lace dress over a light pink liner. Jessica McClintock for Gunne Sax, size 9. It is lovely!Lovely pink satin formal. No size or maker label. I think it may be approximately a size 8 or 10. This dress is in great shape! If you have someone who is going to prom and would like a nice dress at a reasonable price, here they are! I also have another Jessica McClintock dress in black satin at Merchant Square as well as two vintage prom dresses -- one in light blue and the other is white lace bodice over a mauve skirt. Very pretty dresses!
