Merchant Square 3-day sale this weekend

Merchant Square is having a 3-day sale this weekend and a flea market tomorrow, Saturday.  I have loaded my booth and taken some pictures to share.
Inside my locked china cabinet I have lots of antique and very vintage items.  Here you see fancy perfume bottles, a gold lipstick holder, lovely rhinestone jewelry, rhinestone topped antique hat pins, lacy French gloves and an antique dresser tray in the back.
On this shelf are vintage necklaces, bracelets, a tray with French lace under glass, MOP binoculars made in France, old eyeglasses, and a beaded purse.
On these shelves you can see two turn-of-the-century boxes with celluloid pictures on their lids.  One is a glove box the other is for jewelry.  The insides of the boxes are in near perfect condition considering their age.  You can also see two autograph books (one on top of the old jewelry box and the other is open in front) that were signed in the 1880's.  Beautiful handwriting and lovely sentiments inside each one.
And I have stocked my booth with plenty of frames (white, black and original finish) and mirrors.
The mirror on top of the china cabinet is very old and very heavy!  Would look good with on its side or placed vertically on the floor.  It is really big!

All of us at Merchant Square hope you will visit this weekend if you are here in the Phoenix and East Valley area!  The mall is full of wonderful treasures!

Home Sweet Home at Sweet Salvage, Part 2

I have a few more pictures to share of displays at Sweet Salvage on 7th.
This is the close up of items in that beautiful black display cabinet I posted yesterday on my blog.  I love the flowers and all the silver!  "Dazzle" is right!
Love the black, white and gray in this display.  That clock is to die for!
Believe it or not, this was wired to be a lamp!  And it sold right away!  Awesome "repurpose" idea!!
Black, red and silver for New Years!!
Happy New Year!
Nothing like "bling" on a large mercury glass vase!  I bought this necklace for me!  It wasn't the only thing I bought at Sweet Salvage.

Tomorrow's blog I will share with you some of the items I bought at Sweet Salvage, Zinnia's at Melrose, and just what I did with them in my home.

Home Sweet Home at Sweet Salvage, Part I

Yesterday was another fabulous opening day for the month of December's Sweet Salvage!  The theme was Home Sweet Home.  Wonderful displays, a bit of bling for the New Year coming in a couple of weeks, and lots of goodies to make your home your special place.

Have to first tell you that I met up again with my friend, Dawn, of Bohemian Valhalla.  I introduced myself to her a couple of months ago and now we love seeing each other each month right here at Sweet Salvage!  Be sure to visit Dawn's blog for more pictures!
Now, come along with me for a look inside Sweet Salvage on 7th.  Here we go:
This display case was beautiful!  So love the chandelier in the middle section.
Here's a close up of the middle section in the cabinet above.  Sparkly, pretty!!
Silver and pearls!  Love it!
Candles that look like scrumptious desserts, cloches full of bottles, a bit of elegant fur!
Whispery bracelets and pins in a silver bowl full of lavender.
Plenty of rings of bling!  So sparkly and pretty!
Lovely frames, perfume bottles, champagne flutes, and a vintage camera.
Simple, yet elegant displays of books, thread and a silver bowl.
Pretty champagne flutes, clear "ice" cubes, chalkboard, and . . . . . Gift Certificates???  Wow!  Should have told my son about that.  Didn't know!
I would love to have this display cabinet!  Isn't it beautiful??  A close up of a display in here in tomorrow's blog post.  I'm not done!
Industrial carts full of goodies that are industrial chic and shabby chic.
What a nice display for a garden or a patio here in Arizona.  Lovely!
This red wall just sets off all these wonderful industrial pieces and the signs.  I do love that "Time to Drink Champagne" sign!  Sorry I didn't buy that one!  It's great!
Clocks and film wheels, industrial cabinet and lamp, rusty stuff!
Vintage pictures, railroad cars pic, old fan, wire drawers, numbers, old crates!
Cigar boxes, hourglass, books, signs, can't recall what the measuring instrument is called, sorry!
Pretty canvas of flowers!
What a pretty display for an entryway or corner of a den or gathering room!  Love that fern!

I have more pictures to post on tomorrow's blog!  Please come back and check out the rest of my pics.

A place to visit -- The Embellished House

Last Thursday, Joy and I went to visit The Embellished House in Scottsdale after we had read about it on Karen Valentine's blog, My Desert Cottage.  We weren't disappointed!  The Embellished House has a bit of everything!  From the colorful, to the blingy, to the "steampunk", to just wonderful!  All in one place!

The colorful!

The blingy!

Some salvage, some steampunk!

Industrial storage!  Salvage chic!

Clocks and globes!

Silver and glass!  My fav!

Trophy cups!  Why can't I find these?
Perhaps because they are all here!!

Bottles, frames, candelabras, chandeliers!

I love these tags!
The necklace says "collect" on one side --
"lets face it...I want it all." on the other!
I bought it!

I recommend you make a trip to see The Embellished House on Scottsdale Road, just north of Shea.  It's worth the trip!  Take my word for it, there isn't another place like it in Phoenix!  It has something for everyone, whether it's blingy or steampunk, it's there!  Visit soon!
