Can you identify this item?

I found this at an estate sale on Friday.  I have no idea what it was used for.  I think it is a lid to a bowl and the holes allow steam to escape.  Does that make sense?  Or is it actually something else?  Did this cover go over potpourri and the holes allowed the scent to fill the room?  Did it cover a food item on the table to protect it from the air or bugs?  I don't know.  Do you??
I can see knitting needles in it, paintbrushes, pretty hair sticks, or fancy chopsticks.  It would look good over a plate as a serving piece.  I think it is very pretty.  Reminds me of Lemoges.  Just too bad that whatever it went on or to is missing.

Something else I would like identified is this stamp of a Corona typewriter.  Do you know who makes it and if it is still available?
Thanks for any help you can provide.  I am going to search online for this stamp as well, but perhaps you already know about it.

I think it's the lid to a potpourri bowl! The stamp, not sure but I think Crafty Secrets has something similar...maybe. Jennifer will know!

Hi Judy! I happen to have that stamp and it was made by Club Scrap. Hope that helps!

The lid does look like Limoges...very pretty! It appears to be a vented lid that went to a vegetable or casserole bowl.

I had one and I used for potpourri, as you've mentioned. It is very beautiful, good snag.

I'd try the website, stampfrancisco.com, they have tons of vintage rubber stamps.

That is a pretty piece, and If it were mine I would stuff it and put a bottom on it. Then I would show off my old hatpins by standing them up in the holes.

Hi Judy, I have seen similar covers on antique pancake dishes and large ones on cheese keepers. Love your blog. Nelda
