A little treasure

I was lucky to come across this old sewing machine last weekend. I just love it! How cute is that??!! Plus I found a bag of fabric pieces already cut into triangles and sewn together to make a quilt. However, someone didn't finish the project. Pretty fabrics in pink and browns. The fabrics are at Merchant Square already. This little machine does have an electric motor to power it. The whole thing has to be secured to something like a table in order to use it. I don't know if it works. Am not going to try to set it up.
It is a Willcox & Gibbs sewing machine. Made in the U.S.A. with a patent date of April 17, 1883. This is a keeper! Since I now sew so much, it will stay on a shelf in my sewing room.

this is the sweetest thing. I have never seen a machine shaped like this. I inherited my Grandmother's White sewing machine that sits in my living room as a table. Inside is a beautiful black machine with the beautiful handpainting, but it is not shaped like this!
