Newest collage

This is my latest mixed media collage. I love the soft colors and the goodies that are on each tag. Used a lot of products: glazes, Glimmermist, stamps, Prima flowers and leaves, 7 Gypsy brads and tiny clips, shells, Cavalini stickers. Just a regular potpourri of things. Even dug into a bowl of potpourri to get some of the dried elements in the bottom center tag.

I am also working on a black and white collage for submission to Somerset Studio. They have a call out for black and white art work. Deadline is June 15. I need to get going now on this so that I can get it mailed in time. Sorry, can't show you that until I find out if it has been accepted for publication.

This weekend is a big three day sale at Merchant Square. I have to spend a lot of time this week getting things ready for that sale as well as tidying up the booths and making sure that they look inviting for shoppers. That keeps me from my studio. Then next week I am clearing out one of my booths (I have two) because sales, in general, are way down. The economy is one reason and the flight of the snowbirds (winter refugees) from the heat of the Arizona summer is the other. I will try to blog as much as I can, but it will be spotty for the next two weeks.

I am an avid fan of American Idol! First time in a couple of years that I have watched it regularly. I think David Cook is going to take it, but really, who knows??
