ATC's for March

The theme for this month's swap at Mystic Paper is "use a playing card". It actually meant artist's choice just incorporate a playing card in it somewhere. It will be fun to see what the others do with a playing card! I did two sets because these were fun to do.

This cute bunny is actually an egg shaped playing card! Found this tiny deck of cards in the Easter section of Fry's Marketplace. I thought they were so cute! When I opened the deck the face cards had cute chicks and bunnies. (Think I overused "cute"!!! LOL!!) I sanded down a strip on the back side of the playing card so it would stick when glued. Also gave the card a bit of a bend so that the card actually pops from the crepe paper. The strip of gathered crepe paper just added to the Easter basket theme. Stickles gives the bunny a bit of sparkle! For this cutie, I actually used a playing card. Decided to use the cards from a well-worn deck I use when playing bridge. I did have to sand down the face of the card because it was too slick to hold the red heart doily that I glued to it. But it worked! Also love the bit of German scrap butterfly.

I have to admit that I was suffering from ATC burn-out for about a month! Just felt like I was doing nothing but ATC's and not any art. But after doing these two, it felt good to be "back in the groove!"
