I do this maybe twice a year -- bake something! Usually my really delicious and moist pumpkin bread and a Cranbery Bundt Cake that is really yummy!
Here is the mixture in the bundt cake pan ready to go into the oven. Note that there is come bourbon in this recipe! Adds a lot of taste with none of the alcohol since it cooks off.
Here is the cake after it has baked. Now it has to cool and later I will prepare an orange flavored frosting from orange juice and powdered sugar.
Ah!! The finished product! Best part?? Licking the bowl, beaters and spatula!!
The cake is for our Noel Night at Merchant Square this evening. The Square caters the buffet dinner and the dealers who sign up bring a dessert. There is a prize of $100 off the month's rent. That prize goes to the dealer whose dessert voted best by those who attend. I don't stand a chance, but I know people will love this cake!
BTW! Any leftovers will be taken to the Handmade Holiday Open House at Mystic Paper on Saturday. I will be there selling my work -- at VERY REASONABLE prices! You will be able to buy my one-of-a-kind altered books and other mixed media art work pieces. Check it out!!
