Just browsing the web this a.m.

I found this darling Valentine on the Graphics Fairy blog this morning. Have you checked out this blog lately?? If not, get busy! Always something wonderful there!I was checking out the How About Orange blog today and got a cool diy for making heart shaped clips out of an ordinary paper clip. I tried it and this is just too cute! The easy instructions are on the blog. Got this link from Kelly Kilmer's blog this morning. Admittedly I used small plastic coated paper clips, not the large ones. But I have a whole box of these small, plastic coated paper clips and I hate them! What a wonderful way to get rid of them!

Valentine Give-Away

After my first give-away in December, I thought it would be great to do it again! So here is my next give-away. I will send out this Valentine to you in time for Valentine's Day in two weeks. Again, all you have to do is leave a comment on this February 2nd blog, and on Sunday, February 8th (by noon), I will have my son pick a winner's name out of the hat. Then on Monday, February 9 I will put your Valentine in the mail to you! So leave a comment! Be sure to check back with me by Monday, Feb. 9! Get in on the drawing!Been reading a blog and experimenting with the camera and learned how to do close-ups! This is a close up of the Valentine. Now you can see the fabric with the silver thread design, the pink silk heart and the sequins and beads on the earring/decoration on the heart. Did me good to read the blog about getting better pictures.
Last week I took a walk outdoors and I spotted this hot air balloon floating very near my home! I am actually thinking that it would be fun to take a hot air balloon ride. Hmm! Next stimulus check may just may take me up in the air so high!!

Another Valentine

I finished another Valentine today. I am not used to the new scanning method that this new computer forces me to follow. It looks like I am going to have to call my "guru" about this to figure out what is going on. I used to be able to initiate scanning from a desktop icon, and now I can't do that. I have to actually ask the scanner (printer, copier, fax combined) to scan and I don't get the whole picture. Makes it tough to scan 3 photos in one picture -- which I discovered yesterday! This one has a lace edging like the others. But I sewed tiny pink beads on the pink heart, then glued it to blue lace, glued to ledger paper, glued to cardstock which was sewn to the heavy weight watercolor paper. Love the sturdiness of these cards! Even the stamp with the pomegranate on it worked well with this card.

How about those Arizona Cardinals yesterday!!! We're going to the Super Bowl!!
