In bloom in the backyard

With my new camera in hand, I set out to take pictures of the succulents and the saguaro that are in the backyard.  After that I watered everyone and will enjoy them.
Pretty white flower cluster on this blue and green succulent.
Tiny pink flowers on this one showing off the rusty roadrunner plant stake.
I love these because of the colors.  And they are under a wire "cloche" that I found at For the Love of Old.  It was originally used as a hanging basket for plants.
While watering this pot with several small cacti in it, I discovered this one had tiny pink flowers!  How cute!  First time I have ever seen this one bloom.
And the saguaro just keeps getting more and more blossoms all over it!  It is almost crowned with them.  The only side that doesn't have many blossoms in the side that faces north.

Etsy Garden Party - Part 2

Well, after reading the blogs that joined the Etsy Garden Party, I felt that I should include some pictures of what I actually do have outdoors around my "desert dwelling" house or "garden".  I don't garden.  I hire someone to do that.  But I do have some items to share with you from the yard that are real pretty right now.
Here is one of the lavender bushes that are in the yard.  They are so pretty right now and full of visiting bees!
The birds have built nests in the sweet acacia tree.
The succulents are blooming in the warm sun.  Such tiny pink flowers.
And this is the bougainvillea at the end of the patio!  Pretty spectacular, even if I do say so myself!

Thanks to the other bloggers on the Etsy Garden Party, I went out and took these pictures to share as well!  I hope you don't mind!

Grapefruit and things

On my walk this morning, I found that a neighbor had put out a huge bin full of these gorgeous red grapefruits and they were free for the taking.  All neatly bagged for easy carrying away.  So I took a bag and brought them home.  They are washed and ready for snacking -- sweet and juicy!!
I have already eaten two of them!  Hard not to when they are so good!
Got the latest issue of Country Living today, too!  Have already looked through it!
This is one of the succulents I bought a couple of weeks ago and transplanted.  I was really worried about it because it went limp in this pot and stayed that way for several days.  However, now I see it has perked up and sprouted all these pretty pink flowers!  Saw a butterfly taking advantage of the flowers earlier today!
These are such tiny, delicate pink flowers on this plant.  And I love the silver color of the leaves.
