Fluffed my booth this morning

Went to an estate sale last Friday that produced a lot of old smalls for my booth.  Have also been making tags to tuck into spaces in my booth as well.  You can see the entire new photo album on my Judy B's Shabby Chic Facebook page, or my home page.  Click on the pics to enlarge them.  Here are my favorite corners.

Someone had taken an old frame that contains a shabby mirror (silver missing in spots) and added tall spindly legs in black.  This was too special to pass up.  Also that shabby silver candy dish on it was too cute!

Also found this old shabby white bowl (cracked but still holding up) probably from a pitcher and bowl set.  It was outside and a plant had been sitting in it.  So I cleaned it up and now it contains three vintage serving pieces, pretty shells and an old notebook full of handwritten and news clippings of recipes.

This little corner holds some Cavallini Easter postcards, tags I made, some Cavallini Paris postcards tucked into the train case, and that great ash tray lamp with plenty of bling.

The pink tree

I took the pink tree into the antique mall today and decorated it as well as the table it sits on.  Here are the results:

I love this pink tree.  I bought it last year after Christmas when it was on sale.  Today I decorated it with ornaments in white, pinks and red.  I also added a serving bowl full of Christmas craft items, bags of vintage ornaments, a white Eiffel Tower with a pink wreath, a box full of glittery postcards.  Note the pink and blue switch plates on the wall.  A great find on Sunday's shopping.  They are vintage and very pretty!  The little pink tray in front of the tree has bags full of frost white ornaments that look like Christmas tree bulbs.  So you can see I added lots of goodies today.  More to come in another day or two.

I also visited with my sweet friend, Kim, of Sweet Sage Vintage while in Merchant Square.  She was fluffing and organizing her booth today as well.  She was kind enough to give me this little gift of tea roses in a tiny bottle.  Thank you so much, Kim!  I love them!!  Be sure to visit her blog and check out the pretty bottles she has decorated and put in her booth at Merchant's.

Pretty tags!

I've been working on some pretty tags. Love Cavallini bird postcards, vintage lady images and Cavallini paper. These are just a sample of the tags. I plan to sell them at Merchant Square.

All have lots of sparkle by using Stickles. Love those little squeeze bottle of glitz! I have yet to add ribbon ties and perhaps a few words on each one.

The altered house book is finished!

Been working on this book little by little and it is finally done. Took a bunch of pictures so you can see it. The light was good in the dining room, so I got clearer, brighter, better pictures.

Remember I told you that this book suddenly turned into a flip book? Here is side one, entitled "Winter Wonderland."

I love the beaded trim that looks like icicles hanging from the eave of this house book.A real woolen mitten! Got the idea to cut out a mitten shape from felt then sew it together. And the picture of that little tiny girl all bundled up against the cold. She has her mittens on!This next little girl is all bundled up, too! Check out that wooly snow suit she has on! And it even looks like the photographer gave her a "snowball" to hold for this picture.Used some Pearl Ex here as well as Diamond Dust for the other tree.This is the flip side -- side two. I call it "For the Birds"!The background here is an old Christmas postal envelope that bears a message. You fold it up and then lick the flap to close. Add postage and the address and they are ready to send. Lots of different pictures to choose from among those postal envelopes!I love the pretty tags and post cards that Cavallini & Co. has made for the Christmas season. Lots of glitter and pretty birds. I used lots of these to finish the flip side of this altered book.
