New page from the old book

This is the last page that I finished for the book in the last blog. This one was fun! I loved using the rusty screen under the book cover and can you see that I tucked in some tiny treasures inside the rolled screen -- top and bottom?? The spoon on the right side is a child's spoon and has "Little Red Riding Hood" engraved on it as well as her likeness. Cute!
I used one of the old book covers shown in a previous blog and you can see some of the torn pages behind the picture. I rusted up a "new" frame for the little kids in the picture, placed a piece of mica over that and tied it to the frame.
This is the greatest time of year in Arizona. The weather is picture perfect! Dry, sunny and pleasant -- 75-78 degrees every day now. Love it. This is a snapshot of the bougainvilla in a neighbors yard. Isn't it beautiful??

this is breathtaking! I love how you used rusty objects and combine them with antiques...you always have the best fabric combo's too!
